The skies are afire with XP goodness - from 00:00 UTC (game time) on 24th May until 23:59 UTC on 29th May, collect all-news supreme stars on Treasure Hunter for twice the Bonus XP of regular fallen stars.
It's as simple as that. Load up on these little slices of heaven and aim straight for that next big training goal, or pick up those last few recommended levels for Menaphos.
What is Treasure Hunter?
Treasure Hunter is playable from within RuneScape, allowing players to use Keys to claim in-game items as prizes. These range from useful resources to rare weapons and exclusive gear.
Playing Treasure Hunter is simple - click the treasure chest icon that pops up when you log in. If you've not played before, just follow the on-screen guide.
Everyone gets at least one Key per day, and RuneScape members get two. You can earn more Keys while playing the game, or stock up by redeeming Bonds.
If you'd like more, you can also buy Keys on the website, or by clicking 'Buy Keys' within the Treasure Hunter interface in-game.
Double up your XP Gains
Join the RuneScape community for 72 hours of XP awesomeness in this much-loved skilling event.
How Does It Work?
Each Runescape Double XP Weekend lasts for 72 hours, during which base XP for most combat and skilling activities is increased:
+100% for RuneScape members
+20% for free players
The Double XP Weekend boost is not applied to the XP earned through the following items or activities:
Tomes of experience
Dragon rider amulet
Player-owned house altars
Wilderness Chaos altar
It also does not apply to XP rewards given on hand-in for the following activities:
Strange and golden rocks
Other Distractions & Diversions
It does not apply to XP awarded on hand-in of points or tokens. Examples:
Slayer point rewards
Brimhaven Agility Arena tickets
The Invention skill benefits differently to others:
Item XP is gained at +50%
Making items on a workbench (charge packs, siphons etc) gives +50% improved XP
Disassembling random items (logs, potions etc) will give +50% improved XP
Disassembling/siphoning equipment does not give improved XP
Ironman accounts do not receive an XP boost on Double XP Weekend.
Finally, while stored Bonus XP itself is not boosted, it is still awarded alongside the boost from Double XP Weekend. So a member training a skill with stored Bonus XP on Double XP Weekend will receive +200% base XP.
Double XP Weekends are always a ton of fun, and are a great time to get stuck in and play alongside the whole RuneScape community.
