FIFA 18 PLAYER RATINGS: THE COMPLETE LIST OF THE TOP 100 STARS ( 50-1 )

Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the best player on FIFA 18.

EA Sports has unveiled its top 100 players over the past week, with Bernardo Silva kicking off the rankings in 100th place before Ronaldo's 94 overall rating was revealed on Monday. He is closely followed by Lionel Messi at 93 overall, while Neymar, Luis Suarez and Manuel Neuer bag 92 ratings.

50. RADJA NAINGGOLAN | Roma

Nainggolan boasts excellent stats across the board and another point added to his overall rating on FIFA 18, taking him up to 86 overall.

49. DRIES MERTENS | Napoli

A brilliant season in front of goal for Mertens saw him boosted from 83 to 85 on FIFA 17, and now he has received another kick to take him to 86.

48. ROMELU LUKAKU | Manchester United

New Manchester United striker Lukaku is up two points from 84 to 86 overall after a fine final season for Everton before his big-money transfer.

47. THOMAS MULLER | Bayern Munich

Not everything has been rosy for Muller under Carlo Ancelotti, and he suffers a one-point decrease to his overall rating.

46. SAMIR HANDANOVIC | Inter

Inter stopper Handanovic preserves his status as one of the best goalkeepers in the game by retaining his 87 overall rating.

45. ANDRES INIESTA | Barcelona

Barcelona's midfield maestro Iniesta is down one point from his 88 rating on FIFA 17 as he begins to show the first signs of age.

44. IVAN RAKITIC | Barcelona

His third season at Barca was not as good as his first two but Rakitic nevertheless keeps his 87 overall rating.

43. DAVID SILVA | Manchester City

Manchester City talisman Silva is unchanged at 87 overall and gets increases in his defending and physical ratings having adapted well to a central-midfield role.

42. GERARD PIQUE | Barcelona

Barca centre-back Pique was boosted up from 86 overall to 87 on FIFA 17 and keeps that rating for this year's game.

41. MAREK HAMSIK | Napoli

Just missing out on the top 40, Hamsik's brilliant performances for Napoli see him boosted two points from 85 to 87 overall. He also has a perfect 'weak foot' score.

Now an important member of Bayern Munich's midfield, Chile's ball of energy Vidal keeps his 87 rating intact from FIFA 17.

38. MARCELO | Real Madrid

Real Madrid star Marcelo has leapfrogged David Alaba to become the highest-rated left-back in the world on FIFA 18.

37. EDINSON CAVANI | PSG

Cavani's incredible 49-goal season for PSG sees his rating rise to 87. He started FIFA 17 with an 85 rating before going up to 86 in the mid-season refresh.

36. PAUL POGBA | Manchester United

Pogba seems to be settling into life back at Manchester United now but actually takes a one-point hit compared to his FIFA 17 rating. He still has five-star skill moves, however.

35. N'GOLO KANTE | Chelsea

Kante is one of the biggest risers in this year's ratings. He started FIFA 17 at 81 overall before being pushed to 83, and has now rocketed up to 87 as the reigning Premier League Player of the Year.

34. MARCO VERRATTI | PSG

Verratti's status as one of the top midfield metronomes on the planet is in no doubt and he rises two points to 87 overall on FIFA 18.

33. JEROME BOATENG | Bayern Munich

Boateng continues to struggle with injuries and after starting FIFA 17 with a 90 overall rating, he has now been brought down to 88.

32. MESUT OZIL | Arsenal

Germany international Ozil is down one point from 89 to 88 overall on the back of another disappointing season for Arsenal.

31. JAN OBLAK | Atletico Madrid

Oblak rises from 87 overall to 88, meaning only a handful of goalkeepers worldwide remain ahead of Atletico Madrid's emerging shot-stopper.

He may now be into his 30s but age shows no signs of slowing down Atletico Madrid talisman Godin, and he remains one of the game's top defenders at 88 overall.

26. MATS HUMMELS | Bayern Munich

His team-mate Jerome Boateng may have taken a hit to his rating, but Bayern Munich fans have been compensated for that with a one-point upgrade for Hummels.

25. THIAGO SILVA | PSG

Soon to turn 33, Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil star Silva is down one point to 88 overall but still, nevertheless, a world-class central defender.

24. ARJEN ROBBEN | Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich winger Robben's attacking stats are still mouthwatering despite his advancing years and he gets a one-point upgrade to 88 overall.

23. LEONARDI BONUCCI | Milan

Bonucci was involved in one of the most surprising transfers of the summer, quitting Juventus for AC Milan, and the Rossoneri have landed an 88-rated defender.

22. THIAGO | Bayern Munich

Thiago firmly established himself as a world-class midfielder last season and climbs from 85 overall to 88. Add that to his five-star skill moves and he will be in demand again on FIFA 18.

21. PAULO DYBALA | Juventus

Dybala got a one-point upgrade during the FIFA 17 ratings refresh and jumps up two more points on FIFA 18. You would not bet against him continuing to rise in coming years.

Always a rock for Juve, Chiellini's consistency is rewarded with a one-point boost in FIFA 18.

15.KEVIN DE BRUYNE | Manchester City

De Bruyne is another upward mover, improving on the 88 score given to him last time round.

14.ALEXIS SANCHEZ | ARSENAL

Alexis might not be the happiest man at Arsenal right now, but at least he has a one-point boost on his FIFA score to celebrate this week.

13. GIANLUIGI BUFFON | Juventus

The Italy and Juventus legend only seems to get better with age, and those in charge at EA Sports agree as they boost his score by a point.

12. LUKA MODRIC | Real Madrid

No movement for Madrid's influential Croatian as he sits just outside the top 10.

11. DAVID DE GEA | Manchester United

De Gea was outstanding for United last season, and deservedly holds on to his 90 rating to cement his position as one of the world's - and FIFA's - elite keepers.

Higuain scored another 32 goals in all competitions in his first season with Juventus and has been upgraded by a point, from 89 to 90 overall.

9. TONI KROOS | Real Madrid

Kroos gets a two-point upgrade after proving instrumental once again in Real Madrid's latest Champions League triumph and remains one of the best passers in the game.

8. EDEN HAZARD | Chelsea

Hazard's one-point upgrade to 90 overall and entry into the top 10 sees him take the title of best player in the Premier League from Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

7. SERGIO RAMOS | Real Madrid

Real Madrid icon Ramos is up a point to 90 overall and overtakes Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng to be named FIFA 18's best defender.

6. ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI | Bayern Munich

The goals continue to flow for Lewandowski. He netted 43 in 47 games last season and is boosted by one point, retaining his status as the second-best pure centre forward on FIFA.

5. MANUEL NEUER | Bayern Munich

Neuer keeps his 92 rating and remains unmatched among goalkeepers, with David de Gea, his closest challenger, still two points behind him.

4. LUIS SUAREZ | Barcelona

Despite not being quite as prolific last season as he was in a sensational 2015-16, Suarez remains FIFA's top striker at 92 overall - though Neymar has jumped above him.

3. NEYMAR | PSG

Neymar keeps his 92 rating and with 92 pace and five-star weak foot and skill moves attributes to boot, he should be one of the most unplayable forwards in the game.

2. LIONEL MESSI | Barcelona

It's second place once again for Messi. He keeps his 93 overall rating to stay clear of Neymar and Suarez, but has not wrestled the top honour from this year's cover star.
